Cranberry Simple Syrup recipe

Ingredients

  • Fresh cranberries — 2 1/4 cups
  • Raw sugar — 1 cup
  • Water — 1 1/2 cups

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Chubby Bottle

Instructions

  1. In small saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water
  2. Bring to a simmer (without stirring)
  3. Simmer until sugar dissolves and cranberries break down, 12 to 15 minutes
  4. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature
  5. Strain through fine mesh strainer into heatproof bowl, pressing down on solids
  6. Discard solids
  7. Store in Chubby Bottle in refrigerator

Tips

Perfect for adding a festive, tart flavor to lattes, cocktails, and mocktails. The cranberries will naturally break down during simmering.
