Matcha Latte

Traditional Japanese green tea latte.

Ingredients

  • Matcha powder — 1 tsp of First Flush Matcha
  • Hot water — 1-2 tbsp
  • Steamed milk — 6-8 oz
  • Honey — Optional

Equipment

  • Matcha Bamboo Whisk
  • Matcha Bowl

Instructions

  1. Sift matcha powder into bowl
  2. Add hot water and whisk with bamboo whisk until frothy
  3. Steam milk to create microfoam
  4. Pour matcha mixture into cup
  5. Add steamed milk
  6. Sweeten with honey or simple syrup if desired

Tips

Pre-mix dry first flush matcha with Baker's sugar and fruit pectin to create a smooth and sweet matcha mixture.
